BATD Dance Scholarship Awards 2025

This year, VOX received a record number of nominations for our dancers! Our 2024 examination session resulted in the examiner putting us forward for 11 nominations! This means 11 exam candidates were selected with the approval of our studio director, to attend the annual British Association of Teachers of Dancing Scholarships 2025 held in Glasgow!

This is a true honour and testament to the hard-working partnership between student and teacher here at VOX. In order to be nominated, students must attend Ballet, Modern/Jazz, and Tap grade dance classes in Camborne or Plymouth (our Classic Training Pathway), which is open to all students. As students work through the grades and are entered into exams, students who receive the top pass level of distinction and show a strong sense of performance and artistry within the exam may be nominated by the examiner with our dance association. Our Director, Nichola Reynolds, then confirms her approval of the candidates in agreement that they meet the requirements of continued study in the dance style they have been nominated for, have good class attendance and respect for both the subject of dance and the studio and training environment, among other requirements. Those dancers then attend a highly prestigious scholarship award class at a location in the UK to work with a renowned choreographer and teacher under the observation of a highly trained, distinguished panel of experts.

We are incredibly proud of our students, not only for their personal achievement with this nomination but also for how they represent VOX Dance Studios on a national scale.
